Financing secured for submarine horror
Following up on a project from earlier in the summer, the haunted submarine project Phantom has now found financing through the RCR Media Group. Variety reports that they’ll produce the thriller, which is set to star William Fichtner, Andy Garcia, Ed Harris and Natascha McElhone.
Todd Robinson will direct the film, which takes place during the cold war on a Soviet submarine. The captain soon learns that there’s something aboard the vessel that is trying to take control.
Phantom will shoot this fall in Long Beach and is said to be budgeted at $18 million.
