Update: Bruce Campbell has taken to Twitter to say the “project is real.”. But is that really Bruce?
Dread has gotten word that a source close to Bob Murawski (Sam Raimi’s longtime editor) has packed his bags for Detroit and is heading there for an Evil Dead project.
Their source says it will be a low budget, down and dirty effort. But what is it, really? Who knows… Dread theorizes it is a fourth film. But, for now, take this all with a grain of salt until something confirmed comes down.
Rami has been in heavy prep on his Wizard of Oz project. He has always said that if a new Evil Dead did come about, he’d want to be close to it. Can’t see him just winging something out there. He has also stated that they had a script for a remake gestating in the halls of Ghost House Pictures.
But has he hired someone to quietly do the project on a shoestring budget? We shall see…
