R.I.P. Gene Colan

The comic book industry suffers a loss

Gene Colan has passed away at the age of 84.

The comic book artist – best known for tackling sundry Marvel and DC superheroes – enjoyed a 70-issue run illustrating “The Tomb of Dracula.” He later contributed to Rob Zombie’s Hellbilly Deluxe CD booklet and Dark Horse’s “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” comics.

As far as the big guns, the Bronx born artist illustrated everything from “Iron Man” and “Batman” to “Howard the Duck” and “Daredevil.”
