The original ’77 film
As we first told you here, it appears Image Entertainment has taken the distribution rights to a lot of titles formerly owned by Anchor Bay.
So, this fall, expect to not only see Hellraiser II make its Blu-Ray debut, but The Hills Have Eyes, directed by Wes Craven, as well.
The 1977 film, as you can tell by the artwork to the left, will be released under Image’s Midnight Madness series. Stay tuned for a full announcement with a list of bonus content.
Many of you are probably wondering where Alex Aja’s Hills Have Eyes redo is on the Blu format. With the release of Image’s presentation, perhaps this is the year we’ll finally see Aja’s American debut hit from Fox Home Entertainment.
