Based on the Dark Horse series
It was only a matter of time before someone recognized the cinematic value of “Beasts of Burden.”
Director Andrew Adamson (Shrek, Chronicles of Narnia) is going to produce a screen adaptation with Dark Horse, publisher of the “Beasts of Burden” comic book.
The series, created by Evan Dorkin and Jill Thompson, first appeared in “The Dark Horse Book of Hauntings” and introduced a group of household pets living in the town of Burden who get mixed up in the supernatural. The tale proved to be a hit and a series was called for.
Animation is the way to go and that’s the route Adamson is going to take.
