Who bought the zombie tale?
Who knew Timur Bekmambetov was such a huge genre fan? Sure, the man gave us Night Watch and Day Watch, but after Wanted, I figured the man would get pigeon-holed doing nothing but action.
Now, he’s attached to various genre fare, including Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (which he’s directing) and Apollo 18 (he’s producing).
Deadline reports he has acquired Maggie, a script that was at the center of a bidding war. The story follows the eponymous teenage character’s gradual change from a human to a zombie after she is bit by one. Apparently, the process takes months to occur.
