Suspiria Remake to Utilize Goblin Score

Who will be adapting their sound?

Since a new David Gordon Green film is on the press circuit (Your Highness), a lot of attention is being brought to the director’s forthcoming remake of Dario Argento’s Suspiria.

Just the other day, Green told another outlet that he’s hoping Suspiria will be next on his plate. Today, in an interview with Movieline, he revealed a bit more regarding the film’s beloved score by Goblin: “We got the rights to the Goblin score, so we’re going to use that. Steve Jablonsky, who did the score for Your Highness, is incredible. So I would love to see what he would do with the Goblin music. We could start in a very faithful, synthesizer kind of world of music that Goblin does in the original film, and by the end of it turn that score into a huge opera, which would be incredible.”

Jablonsky has scored a variety of horror films including The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) and Friday the 13th (2009), as well as the Transformers films.
