Writing and directing making of Psycho
The master of suspense who gave us films like Psycho, The Birds and Vertigo may be getting the biopic treatment.
Sacha Gervasi, the director of the documentary Anvil! The Story of Anvil, is reportedly writing and directing Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of Psycho, a project that has been gestating in the Hollywood trenches for some time now and is based on Stephen Rebello’s book of the same name.
The L.A. Times, who first broke this news, says Gervasi is merely in discussions right now with Ivan Reitman’s production outfit Montecito Pictures. Gervasi is one in a string of writers who have tackled the project. Rebello penned his own adaptation and Black Swan‘s John McLaughlin also wrote a draft.
