The Crazies director tackling vampire comic adaptation

According to an interview conducted by FearNet with comic book creator Mark Wheatley, director Breck Eisner’s next project after his forthcoming remake of Escape From New York looks to be a movie based on the comic book Blood of the Innocent, written and drawn by Wheatley with co-writer Rickey Shanklin and artist Marc Hempel.
The film would adapt the 1985 comic book series that had Dracula battling against Jack the Ripper in period London; Eisner is working with writer Bill Marsilii to perfect the script.
Eisner still plans to direct the sci-fi adventure movie Flash Gordon, but according to Wheatley, he may try to tackle Blood of the Innocent first.
Stay tuned for more on this project.
