Prepping three other thrillers, we’ve got the story details
The Other Side of the Tracks helmer A.D. Calvo and producer Todd Slater have a four-picture slate planned.
They’ve found financing – $3-5 million per picture – for House of Dust, Snow White and two currently untitled films. Dust is described as a “campus thriller” and will be shot in Connecticut, where Calvo’s Tracks took place. With a bit of digging, Shock has learned Dust follows a young co-ed, struggling to conceal her schizophrenia, who slips further into psychosis after the disappearance of several students leaves her doubting her innocence.
Show White concerns a young woman who wavers on a suicide pact and finds herself trapped in a fantastical nightmare world. As she journeys through seven portals in search of an escape, she comes to realize the cause of her tremendous sense of guilt, the secret she’s been hiding, and the reason behind her travels.
Calvo’s The Other Side of the Tracks stars Brendan Fehr and Natassia Malthe; it debuts on Showtime sometime this year.
