Production offices getting set up
Dimension Films might be placing the Scream 4 production in Michigan. Production Weekly says they’ve opened up offices there for the sequel.
The first Scream shot in California, then, for Scream 2, Wes Craven and company relocated to Georgia where they took advantage of a college campus. Some of the shooting also took place in the Los Angeles area. As Scream 3‘s narrative took place in Hollywood, principal photography occurred in Los Angeles, naturally.
But for the fourth entry, it appears the Weinstein brothers are taking advantage of Michigan’s film production tax incentives. Scream 4 got the green light yesterday with Wes Craven at the helm.
Dimension has it scheduled to open in theaters on April 15, 2011.
