Indie Watch: Payment’s Due for The Landlord

This cover is pure ’80s

What happens when a kid inherits a tenement inhabited by demons? Hilarity ensues, apparently! You see, his parents gave him the building and it’s his job to make sure the demons are well fed.

That’s the gist of The Landlord, an indie shot in Chicago and is now making its way to DVD courtesy of Tempe Video after a film festival run. Love the cover art, it screams something that I would find on the video store shelf in the early ’80s.

It hits on May 25.
