You can’t say I didn’t try to give this one a chance, because I did. Then I turned it off.
Mutant Vampire Zombies from the Hood (“It’s the end of the world, yo!” – reads the DVD cover) first graced my eyeballs last year. And I wanted to punch it in the face. You will too when Seminal Films releases director Thunder Levin’s opus on DVD May 18.
C. Thomas Howell is caught up in this mess playing a man named David who teams with Tyshawn Bryant’s “G-Dog” after a solar flare hits earth and unleashes hungry “vampire zombies” in Los Angeles. Low budget crap ensues.
Thunder also directed the 1992 film Evil Lives.
