Steven Spielberg’s Nine Lives Coming To NBC?

Network eyeing 12-hour miniseries

NBC is currently contemplating picking up the Steven Spielberg television project Nine Lives. Written by Les Bohem, the series revolves around a group of people who find a way to reunite with their loved ones in the afterlife through near-death experiences, but those journeys unleash an evil force.

Originally greenlit by the SyFy channel in 2007 as a 12-hour miniseries, the project for whatever reason never materialized over at that network. However, now NBC is awaiting a rewrite from Bohem before making a decision on the show. If re-worked with a broader audience appeal, it could fit into NBC’s proposed strategy to do more event-type drama projects. More when we hear it.
