FineCut Picks Up I Saw The Devil

Kim Jee-woon’s new serial killer thriller

Last month, we reported that Min-sik Choi (Oldboy) and Byung-hun Lee would be starring in Ji-woon Kim’s new movie I Saw The Devil. Korean sales company FineCut has announced it has picked up distribution on the flick via Screen Daily.

A hard-boiled thriller, I Saw The Devil stars Choi Min-sik (Oldboy) as a psychopathic serial killer up against Lee Byung-hun (G.I. Joe: The Rise Of The Cobra) as a special agent whose fiancée becomes one of his victims. Lee’s cool-headed and intelligent character in turn becomes a monster in order to avenge the killing.

Filming began next week and a late summer release is expected.

Kim’s credits include A Tale of Two Sisters and The Good, the Bad, and the Weird.
