First Indie Horror Corner Roundup of 2010

Bad Girls, Dahmer, Gacy and Lloyd Kaufman?!

Welcome to our first Indie Horror Corner Roundup of 2010! If you have an independent film that you’d like mentioned in future installments of this column, feel free to send over your press releases and info to this email address.

– First up, the trailer for Dull Knife Productions indie feature Jon is now officially live via You Tube. Written and directed by William Instone, Jon is the story of a man that is driven into living out his deepest and darkest fantasies by his childhood imaginary friend that returns into Jon’s life after 20 years of laying dormant. Of note, former Leatherface Bill Johnson is among the cast (playing a preist!), along with Troma president Lloyd Kaufman. Parker Dash, William Instone and Julianna LoCascio also star. Hit up the MySpace page for more info right here.

– Remember the AFM trailer for the horror/comedy Dahmer Vs Gacy we posted back in November? Well, if you’re in LA, you can actually catch the film on the big screen next week. Special Midnight screenings of Dahmer Vs Gacy have been set up Laemmle Sunset 5 in Hollywood for January 15th and 16th. Produced and directed by Ford Austin and written by Chris Watson & Andrew Rausch, the flick stars genre alumni Irwin Keyes, Felissa Rose, Brooke Lewis, Alana Curry, Lee Perkins and Steven Adler (yes, the former drummer of Guns ‘N Roses). See the trailer at our previous news post here. Purchase advance tickets for the screenings at the Laemmle here.

– Below you’ll find a teaser poster for Greg Lamberson’s Slime City Massacre, starring Jennifer Bihl, Kealan Patrick Burke, Debbie Rochon, Lee Perkins and Brooke Lewis. Slime City Massacre is currently working it’s way through post and a premiere in February of 2010 is scheduled. We’ll keep you posted on when and where!

– Below you’ll find the trailer for James Thomas Hawley’s Sewer Chewer from Pax23Media Films. A U.S. space satellite falls from orbit, crashing into a small wooded area in Oklahoma, radiating the local wildlife into a monstrous mutant creature that goes on a killing spree devouring everything living in its path. Looks like (as the tagline suggests) mother nature left the seat up. Lloyd Kaufman gives his ringing endorsement in the below clip and stars.

– Below are a pair of images from Joe Hollow and Travis Miller’s Bad Girls Burn In Hell. It stars Devanny Pinn, Rachel Grubb and… would you believe Uncle Lloyd makes an appearance in this one too? If you head over to You Tube and type the title into the search bar, you’ll find a few not-safe-for-work trailers and clips.
