Have You Heard of Marble Hornets?

This YouTube channel’s becoming quite popular

The last thing I need is more distractions. But when a friend says, “You gotta check this out,” and sends me a link that’s not to a cat playing a piano, I look.

This morning, I was introduced to a YouTube channel for “Marble Hornest.” The gist is this: The owner of the page is posting peculiar footage from a friend’s abandoned student film. Said friend, Alex Kralie, apparently became super stressed on set and complained of “unworkable conditions.” He wanted to burn the footage, however, Alex’s pal took it all and Alex inevitably transferred to another school.

What unfolds at “Marble Hornest” is an eerie collection of the footage with a narrative provided by Alex’s friend. Below you’ll find the intro. Do yourself a favor and click on this link for the rest of the entries. Some of them work, some don’t. Regardless, it’s an interesting addition to the cinema vérité sub-genre populated by the likes of The Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity.
