Weekend of Horrors Moves Forward Without Fangoria

Two guests already lined up

Fangoria’s Weekend of Horrors event. I’ve been going since I was a wee lad. In fact, unknown to me, many friends I have now are those who attended the same shows I went to in the early ’90s. It’s a shame this convention is moving forward without the magazine I grew up on (and later contributed to).

That’s right. It’s now “Creation Entertainment’s Weekend of Horrors,” indicating that Fangoria and its partner on the convention circuit have parted ways. Super bummer. Fango recently held a show in Vegas that didn’t include Creation so I guess this was coming.

Right now, Creation has the L.A. WoH set for May 21-23, 2010 at the Marriott near LAX. And the two guests they’ve got locked in? Dario Argento and Robert Englund. That’s a good double-whammy to lead with.

Admittedly, the Weekend of Horrors has taken a tumble over the last decade but it was always enjoyable nonetheless. I’m curious to see how this show is going to be…and what will become of Fangoria’s shows.
