And now for something a little different. This Halloween season, Netflix is kicking off its original series Splatter, produced by Roger Corman and directed by Joe Dante. Told over three installments, the story tells of a shock rocker who returns from the grave to settle a few scores with those in his entourage. But the narrative of this series is being placed in the audience’s hands.
“Everything is determined by the viewership, so at the end of the first ten minutes, they get to determine who lives and who dies,” explains actor Tony Todd who co-stars alongside Corey Feldman. “I thought that was very interesting. That and the fact that we only had nine days to shoot it, and during that time we shot multiple endings so we got to see the death scenes.”
