Lakeshore Entertainment Announces The Living

Supernatural thriller from director Scott Derrickson

Variety reports that director Scott Derrickson has been tapped by Lakeshore Entertainment to helm the supernatural suspense thriller The Living. (Derrickson most recently directed The Day The Earth Stood Still)

Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi will develop and produce, while Paul Harris Boardman also serves as a producer. While story details are being kept under wraps, the article says it’s based on a pitch from both Derrickson and Boardman.

The project will reunite Derrickson and Boardman with Lakeshore after their collaboration on 2005’s The Exorcism of Emily Rose, which the pair co-wrote and Derrickson directed. Both are also attached to The Substitute, a remake of the Danish thriller for Spooky Pictures, the recently launched banner from Sam Raimi’s genre label Ghost House which we first reported on here. (Let’s not forget, they also both did Hellraiser: Inferno)
