Zenescope Plans HorrorScope Film, Toys

Based on Brian Evans’ upcoming comic book

The comic book Horrorscope isn’t even out yet, but alas, Zenescope Entertainment is already planning the movie version.

Variety reports that the company (headed by Ralph Tedesco) has snapped up the rights to develop feature films, toys and videogames based on Horrorscope, which revolves around a young psychic whose murder triggers vengeance-seeking signs of the Zodiac.

The first graphic novel from Zenescope (whom also published the Grimm Fairy Tales and Final Destination comics) will street sometime in 2010.

Of note though is Horrorscope creator Brian Evans. The Las Vegas lounge singer and former Full House thesp has had an interesting career. After appearing on TV shows such as Beverly Hills, 90210 in the 1990s, he was arrested for impersonating DJ Casey Kasem and then launched a singing career as opening act for performers including Dionne Warwick and Jay Leno. (Now that sounds like a horror movie!)
