Will she return for fourth outing?
A fourth Underworld is happening. Whether it will be with Kate Beckinsale or not is still up in the air. Reports elsewhere said the actress was indeed coming back.
That’s news to her.
The actress told Collider this afternoon that it’s just a rumor at this point. “It was always conceived as a trilogy, which I was never going to be in the third one. I think if they came up with an amazing script I wouldn’t be adverse to it. But it’s not planned or anything,” she says.
We reported here that the studio was interested in carrying on Selene’s next arc through three more films, but stressed it was unknown if Beckinsale would slide back into her costume. Screen Gems has Underworld 4 (in 3-D) penciled in for a January 21, 2011 release.
