Near Dark Making U.S. Blu-Ray Debut

Arriving this November…

Before Kathryn Bigelow went on to direct films like Strange Days and the incredible The Hurt Locker, she put her own spin on the vampire genre in 1987’s Near Dark. Although the film got trounced by The Lost Boys at the box office, Near Dark proved to have more bit, so to speak (although I do love Lost Boys).

Lionsgate Home Entertainment has officially announced the Blu-Ray debut of Near Dark. The film streets on November 10 in 1080P High Definition Widescreen with 5.1 DTS-HD Master audio for $20. Unfortunately, I presume we’ll be seeing this title arrive with Lionsgate’s weak Twilight-friendly cover art – which you can see here.

Extras have not been announced.
