Saw Writing Team Roosts in Barker’s Hotel

Television series looks for a home

When Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton (The Collector, Saw 4-7) were hired to pen a now-abandoned remake of Clive Barker’s Hellraiser, the pair forged a relationship with the author that would pay off down the road.

THR’s Risky Business Blog reports that Dunstan and Melton have sold a pitch to Warner Bros. called Clive Barker’s Hotel. The idea is to groom it into a television series with Barker producer along with Seraphim Films’ Joe Daley and McG’s Wonderland Sound and Vision (Supernatural).

Plot details are under wraps, however, the thrust of the series is set at a haunted hotel. Warner Bros. Television is now shopping it to a number of networks.
