Production wraps on Sullivan’s latest
Tim Sullivan has officially called it a wrap on 2001 Maniacs: Beverly Hellbillys, the sequel to his direct-to-DVD remake 2001 Maniacs.
The official Facebook page for the film made the announcement yesterday and presented the following artwork you see below. The synopsis goes like this: After the sheriff refuses to cover up any further for the maniacs causing all the missing persons in the area, they’re forced to hit the road in what’s dubbed the “Pleasant Valley Traveling Road Show,” where the maniacs head across country in hopes of gathering more victims. We’ll follow a young TV crew called the “Road Rascals” as they find themselves mixed up with another one of the maniacs’ deadly festivals.
Rumor has it that Bill Moseley is now slipping into the role of Mayor Buckman, a role previously essayed by Robert Englund. Christa Campbell returns. Other casting announcements are forthcoming.
