Poachers Out for Humans in Night Drive

Shooting to begin in Africa this month

When a group of tourists are stranded during an evening excursion in Africa, they’re hunted by deranged poachers in Night Drive, a Film Factory production beginning later this month.

Justin Head is directing from his own script. The cast includes Corine Du Toit, Brandon Auret, Leroy Gopal, Greg Melvill-Smith, Clare Marshall, Yule Masiteng, David Sherwood and Akin Omotoso. The leading man has not been cast yet.

Says co-producer C A Van Aswegen: “From the outset, we have had plans for Night Drive to be released internationally. Since ‘The African Safari’ plays such an important role in experiencing the ‘dark continent,’ there is going to be an immediate connection and affiliation with audiences everywhere in the world, not only in South Africa.”

Night Drive is expected to be released sometime in 2010.
