Necrosis Finds Viewers Overseas

U.S. distro deal close

Foreign sales agents at American World Pictures representing the independent horror film, Blood Snow (which is known here in the States as Necrosis), has signed foreign distribution deals for the feature in several overseas markets including: Japan, Taiwan, Russia, The Middle East, Czech Republic, and Turkey.

Necrosis stars James Kyson (Heroes), George Stults (7th Heaven), pop star Tiffany, Penny Drake (Zombie Strippers) Danielle De Luca, Robert Michael Ryan and has an extended cameo appearance from horror icon Michael Berryman (The Hills Have Eyes). The film follows a group of friends at an isolated cabin in the Sierra Nevada Mountains who become trapped by an epic snowstorm and are haunted by ghosts from the Donner Party.

Produced on location in South Lake Tahoe, Big Bear Mountain, and Ventura, California, by Unknown Productions Incorporated in 2008/2009, they turned out the finished film in time for the 2009 Paranoia Film Festival in March, held on the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California and then selling foreign rights at the Cannes Film Market in May.

With a U.S. deal for “Necrosis” in the works, Unknown Productions is developing several films for 2010/2011, including another horror film, a thriller and a romantic comedy.
