Hack/Slash Skewers a New Director

Winter start is expected

Rogue Pictures is through waiting and is ready to usher Hack/Slash onto the big screen. The adaptation of the Devil’s Due Publishing comic book series of the same name now has Fredrik Bond on board as director.

Todd Lincoln previously filled that chair and oversaw development for a number of years. He’s now busy with The Nye Incidents (interview) and Apparition.

Created by Tim Seeley, Hack/Slash follows a young woman named Cassie Hack who, with her partner Vlad, scours the country hunting slashers. The last writer Rogue brought on board to work on the script was Justin Marks and that’s apparently what they’re going into production with when cameras roll this winter.

Alexandra Milchan, Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter are producing. According to THR, Bond is also attached to The Host remake and The Hunger.
