On track for an early 2010 release
Twisted Pictures and director Darren Bousman are moving quickly on Mother’s Day, a remake of the Charles Kaufman Troma film. They should if they hope to reach theaters by Mother’s Day of 2010.
According to Production Weekly, shooting begins in Winnipeg, Canada on August 24th and will wrap on October 9th. The Genre Company Rat Entertainment and LightTower Entertainment will join Twisted in producing this update which should start birthing some casting announcements this month.
Scripted by Scott Milam, Mother’s Day follows a family of villains, led by a smart, manipulative and sadistic mother, who return to the house where they grew up and terrorize the new owners and their guests.
