Television series based on the teen novels
The CW has landed its first series pickup for the fall: Vampire Diaries. Kevin Williamson (Scream) and Kyle XY‘s Julie Plec collaborated on the pilot which stems from L.J. Smith’s young adult novels. Nina Dobrev, Steven R. McQueen, Ian Somerhalder, Zach Roerig and Kayla Ewell star.
