Universal and Dark Horse Share a Secret

Based on the 2007 comic book

Universal Pictures has optioned and placed a screenwriter on an adaptation of Dark Horse Comics’ “The Secret.”

According to IESB, Scott Milam (Bedlam, Mother’s Day remake) is tackling the four-part mini-series that was published in 2007. Mike Richardson’s story, described as a “coming of age mystery,” focuses on a young man who is invited to attend a high profile high scool party. A prank is set in motion, however, and the girl of his dreams goes missing drawing him deep into a plot surrounding her disappearance.

Jason Alexander (“Damn Nation”) illustrated the series.
