Where is the new Nightmare shooting?
Chicago-based newspaper Daily Herald reports Elk Grove High School and Hersey High School in Arlington Heights are going to be used in the A Nightmare on Elm Street reboot.
Filming is focusing heavily on the exterior of the schools and the swimming pool. Area students over the age of 16 are welcome to audition as extras. You can read the Herald’s full article here.
With director Samuel Bayer at the helm, A Nightmare on Elm Street begins shooting on May 5th. Jackie Earle Haley, Rooney Mara, Kyle Gallner and Thomas Dekker star. New Line releases the film on April 16, 2010.
