Charity auction to benefit Greenpeace
Auction Cause and Participant Media have teamed up to present an eBay charity auction for a walk-on role in Overture/Participant’s horror-thriller The Crazies, with the proceeds to benefit Greenpeace.
The winner will be offered the role of one of the infected townspeople when it shoots on location in Iowa on April 17.
The auction can be found online here and ends at 7 p.m. PST Thursday, April 9.
Participant deals in entertainment that inspires social change, and president Ricky Strauss explained, “Since ‘The Crazies’ deals with the dangers of bio-toxins, we’re delighted to be able to offer fans the opportunity to realize their dreams of appearing in a horror film while supporting an organization dedicated to protecting the environment.”
