Hollywood Hosts Horror Drive-In Series

Masters gather for Q&A session

The Steve Allen Theater (4773 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA) and Hollywood Mobile Movie are teaming up once again for another horror film festival.

Last fall, the pair presented a drive-in experience in the theater’s parking lot for a series of horror double-features. They’re back at it again beginning next week! The theme this time takes a cue from the “Masters of Horror” show (and dinners) and features special guests. Check out the schedule below. Directors in parenthesis will participate in a Q&A post-screening.

April 3: The Howling (Joe Dante)

April 10: Riding the Bullet (Mick Garris)

April 17: Army of the Darkness*

April 24: The Changeling (Peter Medak)

May 1: Fright Night (Tom Holland)

May 8: It’s Alive (Larry Cohen)

May 15: Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight (Ernest Dickerson)

May 22: Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Tobe Hooper)

May 29: Phantasm 2 (Don Coscarelli)

June 5: King of the Ants (Stuart Gordon)

Films are screened in the parking lot, however, if it fills up, they’ll also play within the theater. Visit SteveAllenTheater.com or HollywoodMobMov.com.
