From the director of The Kingdom
A tree. Entangled roots and human limbs. Willem Dafoe’s bare ass. We expected nothing less from a Lars Von Trier, the man who gave us The Kingdom and Breaking the Waves. Von Trier is at work on Antichrist, a new horror film starring Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg. They play a couple who retreat to an isolated cabin in the woods following the death of their child. What happens from there is anyone’s guess. Weirdness, we presume, based on the first photo from the film (below) which premiered online this week. Von Trier is currently in post-production so expect more updates in the coming months.
