Spectral Motion is at work on the grocery list of mini-monsters needed for Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, a remake of the ’73 tele-film that’s in development at Miramax.
Spectral head Mike Elizalde confirmed the company’s involvement with Fangoria Radio recently. This will reunite him with Guillermo del Toro after the extensive work they pulled off in Hellboy 2: The Golden Army. Del Toro is co-scripting Afraid with Matthew Robbins (Mimic); the story concerns a young girl, sent to live with her father and his new girlfriend, who discovers sinister creatures live underneath the stairs.
