The Strange Adventures of H.P. Lovecraft

Writer and god of destruction?

Portraying H.P. Lovecraft as a heroic character roped into the fictional scenarios he writes about, in a sense, has been done before in the horror anthology film Necronomicon. Image Comics is going to take that idea and run with it in the upcoming four-part mini-series “The Strange Adventures of H.P. Lovecraft.” This title hits stands on April 8th and features the artwork of Tony Salmons with Mac Carter writing. An official synopsis and peek at the cover art for the first two issues below!

When an ancient curse transforms young H.P. Lovecraft’s darkest nightmares into reality, the timid writer becomes both an unwitting god of destruction and the only person who can battle the evil he’s unleashed into the world. One part biography, one part horror pulp, one part fugitive thriller and you have… one weird tale indeed.
