Fending off bugs…with an umbrella?
While promoting his new film, Fanboys, Chris Marquette was able to update ShockTillYouDrop.com on the current status of his upcoming horror flick Infestation which he says is currently without a release date.
“I don’t know. I actually have no idea. It’s going to be released through foreign sales all around the rest of the world at some point this year and they’re still looking for domestic,” he says.
Marquette himself still hasn’t seen the finished project, just a rough cut without effects which, he confirms, will be very heavy CG. “Oh yeah. A lot [of CG]. It’s all kinds of bugs taking over the world…I’ve got a big shotgun.” In the film Marquette plays a slacker who wakes up one morning and discovers alien insects have invaded Earth.
Seemingly even more excited about the project was Marquette’s Fanboys co-star Sam Huntington who went off on how excited he was about his friend’s project: “He’s like the hero of the movie! It’s awesome. Have you heard this story? It’s so cool. He wakes up in this office building just, like, glued to the wall and everyone else is gone. It’s like Aliens. He instantly has to fight this huge bug off – it’s hilarious – with an umbrella.”
Infestation, directed by Kyle Rankin, co-stars Brooke Nevin, Ray Wise and Bru Muller.
