Arquette’s “Big Talk” About Scream 4

Deputy Dewey supports Obama

David Arquette’s directorial debut The Tripper gave the him a platform to poke fun at the Reagan presidency and it was during that film’s grassroots publicity that I came to learn just how political the actor is. So, it’s no surprise to see that TMZ found him in Washington D.C. yesterday for Obama’s inauguration.

Thankfully, one reporter was there to not just ask about the frigid temperatures (seriously, is that what they get paid for?) but the long-rumored Scream 4 announced last summer.

“There’s big talk about it now,” Arquette says before ducking away from the cameras with, “there’s actual calls being made.”

You can watch the video for yourself here. Although there is nothing confirmed there is buzz Arquette, his wife Courteney and Neve Campbell are all being asked to return for cameos. Wes Craven expressed interest when we spoke to him at Comic-Con shortly after the project’s announcement, but he said it really depended on the script.
