Movie marathon gets sucked dry
The production outfit behind Jeepers Creepers 2 and Mother of Tears (on which it served as U.S. distributor), Myriad Pictures is entering 2009 with the announcement of a new fright flick The Night Projectionist, based on the comic book we first introduced to you here.
Published by Studio 407, the story takes place in a small town movie theater during an all-night “Draculathon.” The moviegoers soon discovers their beloved revival house is under siege by real-life bloodsuckers and their film projectionist is a vamp himself. The question is: Who’s side is he on?
Robert Heske penned the comic book hitting stands next month. Myriad has not attached any names to adapt the property.
Myriad and Studio 407 entered into a relationship last year where each party would develop projects for the big screen and comic book realm. Their first project, Hybrid, begins production this year. Peter Kwong is writing.
