Knautz, Matthews back on scripting duties
ShockTillYouDrop.com has obtained the logline for Brookstreet Pictures’ sequel to the horror-comedy adventure Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer:
Jack Brooks decides to retire from monster slaying, but not before taking one last job. Soon he finds himself helping stop a man with an evil plot to summon the demon Legion.
The first entry’s director, Jon Knautz, and writer/star Trevor Matthews are currently in the scripting stage. The former stated in October that it was possible filming could begin as early as next summer. Interesting that the follow-up would pick up as Jack Brooks is “retiring” – which may indicate we’re coming in at the end of his career – as the first film, by all accounts, served as an origin tale…
