Director taking Myers “to the next level”
An official press release has just gone out regarding the overnight announcement of Rob Zombie’s H2 (Halloween 2). And with it came a hi-res version of the teaser art that was created for the sequel.
“I am very excited to be working with Bob Weinstein again and returning to the world of ‘Halloween,'” Zombie says in the press release. “The remake laid the groundwork, now it’s time to really take Michael Myers to the next level. I believe we’ve just barely scratched the surface of where we can take this series.”
H2 will pick up at the exact moment the first movie stopped and follow the aftermath of Michael Myers’ murderous rampage through the eyes of heroine Laurie Strode. It should be noted that it is not confirmed who will be returning to star in the next chapter, although it’s been widely reported already that Tyler Mane signed on for more Myers work around the time of the first film.
