Production to begin in March
The Halloween: 30 Years of Terror convention is taking place in Pasadena, California this weekend. That’s where producer Malek Akkad dropped some news on Halloween 2, a direct follow-up to Rob Zombie’s 2007 re-invention. According to the DC boys, Akkad says Tyler Mane is encoring as Michael Myers (we reported some time ago that he was signed for another picture) and pre-production is expected to begin this January with shooting starting sometime in March. Akkad adds they’re still in negotiations with a potential director, or directors, but he would not confirm that Inside‘s Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury were a lock. It’s unlikely the follow-up will go direct-to-DVD.
