Would be down for a sequel
Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of talking for a spell with Amanda Righetti, leading lady of Platinum Dunes’ Friday the 13th.
Our conversations, on the red carpet and at the after party at the Scream 2008 awards ceremony, veered through various subjects, but when Jason Voorhees was brought up, she exclaimed “The teaser trailer for [Friday the 13th] was awesome. It was a rough cut but I had chills. I’m so excited.”
Looking back, she told me the whole experience of being part of the Friday franchise “was amazing to be a part of it, it really was. For all of my knees being bruised and getting beat up, it was so worth it. I had such a great time with the cast.” And pressed for sequel info, Righetti gave the Platinum Dunes fellas a positive endorsement. “Listen, if Brad and Drew want to do another one and they want to make me a part of it, I’m there.”
