Lionsgate Home Entertainment has announced details and DVD art for the following three films arriving next month.
Chill (November 4th: Sam (Thomas Calabro), an aspiring writer, takes a job as a clerk in an L.A. inner city grocery market owned by the sinister Dr. Munoz (Shaun Kurtz). Munoz is a former scientist who claims to have a rare skin condition that forces him to live in sub-freezing temperatures. During his work, Sam befriends an attractive neighborhood boutique owner Maria (Ashley Laurence) and becomes unwittingly entwined in a love triangle when she reveals that her ex-boyfriend, Detective Defazio (James Russo), who is investigating the recent disappearance of two local prostitutes, is stalking her. However, itâs what Sam doesnât know that might prove more fatal. A darker, diabolical secret lurks behind the freezer walls of his newfound employment. Sam is horrified when he discovers that Munoz died some time ago, but has kept himself alive through occult measures and the flesh that he harvests from his kidnapped victims. With Defazio off track in his investigation, Sam becomes captive in this house of horrors. Time is running out, and he must escape to save his own hide – literally.
The Devil’s Curse (November 11th): Set in London, England, the film begins with a group of theological students who decide to test their faith by proving the existence of hell. Following their ritualistic summoning of a demon, the students are all found dead, apparently by suicide. Ten years later, five final-year students are evicted from their student digs and break into the now abandoned Catholic halls of residence for the weekend, only to discover that they’re not alone. MyAnna Buring, Clayton Watson, Rhea Bailey and Chris Jamba star.
Dead of Winter (November 25th): It is New Years Eve and Kevin and Tiffany head out a party to celebrate a new beginning in their 7-year relationship. In the midst of the merriment, the young couple decides to mark the occasion by experimenting with Crystal Meth. Unbeknownst to them, someone slips LSD in their drinks, setting into motion a night of life altering events which will leave one of them almost dead and the other terrified forever. The young couple leaves the party and quickly begins to realize that they are not aloneâ¦or so they think. Their erratic behavior causes their car to crash and they run into the woods with no protection to try to escape their supposed stalker. Attempts to call for help are futile when they realize that their cell phone signal is lost. Alone and delusional, the couple slowly begins to turn on each other. Brian McNamara directs and co-stars alongside Al Santos, Sandra McCoy, Ella Joyce and Don Fisher.
