Aliens vs. Predator Franchise Dead?

But one series might live on

Producer John Davis seems to think 20th Century Fox’s Aliens vs. Predator is all washed up.

“I think we’ve logically done what we could’ve done with the two AvP movies. But I think there’s something to go back to with Predator,” Davis tells Collider.

If true, this, of course, eradicates those internal rumblings we had been getting within the halls of Fox about another AvP sequel. Hollywood is so fickle, it doesn’t surprise us that the sequel buzz shifted gears.

What’s all this about a new Predator, however? “Well, the Governor [Arnold Schwarzenegger] has mentioned to me that when he ceases to be Governor, if he doesn’t run for the Senate and all of that stuff, he’d like to do a movie or two again. And I don’t know, maybe we could restart the Predator franchise.”
