Second of ten pic slate
According to THR, Michael Emanuel has cast Dean Cain, Conrad Janis, Stephen Lunsford (Bratz), Walter Phelan (House of 1000 Corpses), Maximillian Roeg (7th Heaven) and Lacy Phillips (Pushing Twilight) in his directorial debut, Maneater.
The horror thriller about a former FBI profiler and small-town sheriff investigating mysterious murders is derived from a Native American legend. Emanuel also wrote the screenplay with John K. Anderson.
Emanuel’s Canal Street Films is producing
Maneater is the second in a slate of 10 movies that Canal Street is producing with independent financing; the first was The Uninvited, which is seeking a distributor.
