Director of Brotherhood, Grizzly Rage
According to THR, David DeCoteau is refashioning several classic horror stories with a “gay makeover” for Regent Studios.
The director of past genre pics such as The Brotherhood and Grizzly Rage has inked a two-year deal with Regent to direct 10 films and two television series through his Rapid Heart Pictures shingle. Projects include Edgar Allan Poe’s The Pit and the Pendulum and adaptations of works by H.G. Wells and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Regent will release them theatrically. New features will also be made for “The Brotherhood” and “The Invisible Chronicles,” two ongoing TV/DVD series.
DeCoteau’s recently released the Poe adaptation House of Usher, another tale granted a gay-themed spin.
