During the Anchor Bay preview panel this afternoon at Comic-Con, writer-director Rob Hall revealed his slasher opus Laid to Rest will most likely bow in February 2009. It’s unknown if AB has plans for a limited theatrical run.
Starring Bobbi Sue Luther, Kevin Gage, Lena Heady and Thomas Dekker, the film tells of a young woman who wakes up in a casket with no memory of how she got there or her own identity. She quickly realizes she was abducted by a deranged serial killer and in an isolated rural town she must survive the night and outsmart the technologically inclined killer who is hellbent on finishing what he started.
