Thou shall not crave thy neighbor
Either writers are hard-up for new spins on vampire lore or women truly can’t keep their paws of vampires as evidenced in not just the upcoming Twilight, in which a young girl falls for a bloodsucker, but in Alan Ball’s upcoming HBO series True Blood. Airing September 7th, the series is culled from Charlaine Harris’ novels and stars Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer. She’s a waitress, he’s a vamp and together they’re finding love in a small Louisiana town where others like Moyer have integrated themselves into society. You see, a synthetic plasma cocktail helps replace a vampire’s need for human blood. Ah, but conflict arises as it is wont to do. True Blood will preview at Comic-Con this Thursday.
AICN got a peek at the poster that will be used to promote the series. And for some reason, when I look at it, I think Bite Club – the graphic novel by Howard Chaykin and David Tischman.
